There are wonderful incentives that we, as educators, use to encourage and motivate your child during school hours. It is, however, up to the learner to respond to these incentives.
PREPARATION / PLANNING DAILY GOALS
(excluding IEB learners)
Learners who do not complete their goals by the end of the day may not take their incomplete work home and finish it before the next school day. However, in exceptional cases they may take PACEs home if they have the supervisor’s written permission. Learners need to learn that it is their responsibility to set goals and complete the work assignments they set for themselves during school hours. Therefore, thorough preparation in all subjects is vital in order to complete these written goals in school hours.
- Testimonial (2010) - Ryan Anderson - Past Learner
- I am about to start my Masters degree in Geography at the University of Pretoria after having successfully completed a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Management with no less than six distinctions.
Through my studies, I have had the opportunity to go to Mauritius, work with game park management of several game reserves, present to the M.P of Mpumalanga, preformed community work in Venda and assisted in research conducted in St. Lucia, the Drakensberg and even a Sappi Pine Tree Plantation. Many doors of opportunity exist for me in the future and much of the success that I have can be attributed to the knowledge, wisdom, character building and life - lessons that I have learnt through the staff at Shanan and the system it employs.
Congratulations to Shanan Christian School on reaching its 21st birthday,an important one in our culture, and to all the staff that have been and still are involved in shaping children's lives and pointing them to Christ, To parents, you have made a good decision to place your child in this school. All Glory to God.
